There are few areas of the car market which have experienced such a meteoric rise in demand as the one for SUVs. This has filtered through into electric SUVs, too, and it’s these that we’ll be looking at here.

At My Electric Lease, we’ve got a broad range of electric SUVs that are ideal for families, but with such a choice on offer, how do you pick the right one? Well, in this article, we’ve picked out some of the very best to help make your decision easier.

Polestar 3

If you’re after cutting-edge technology, then you’ll like the Polestar 3. It’s Polestar’s latest electric SUV and one which comes complete with loads of great features, including a large central touchscreen which runs Google Automotive services, so features such as Google Maps come pre-loaded and work intuitively with all of the car’s systems.

But it’s good news for families, as there’s loads of space in the rear for passengers, while its 484-litre boot is helped by a 32-litre ‘frunk’ for cable storage.

Toyota C-HR+

The C-HR+ is one of Toyota’s latest models and arrives as one of the brand’s first mainstream electric cars. While it may share a portion of its name with the regular C-HR, that ‘+’ badging means more space, extra technology and an even sharper design.

It’s got a range of up to 376 miles in big-battery form, too, while all cars get a clear 14-inch infotainment system and dual wireless smartphone chargers, too.

CUPRA Tavascan

A CUPRA is the kind of car for people who like to stand out, and that definitely applies to the Tavascan. It’s a coupe-esque SUV with loads of great design touches and, in typical CUPRA fashion, lots of copper-coloured accents.

You can get it with single- and dual-motor setups, with even this more powerful latter layout able to return up to 320 miles from a charge.

Mini Aceman

Mini’s Aceman is the brand’s compact, electric-only SUV, which falls underneath the Countryman in terms of size. However, like the Countryman, there’s a real sense of quality inside the Aceman, with lots of upmarket materials and clever displays at work. There’s even a sharp OLED display which is designed to look like those on a classic Mini.

Available in a variety of specifications, the Aceman can return a range of up to 252 miles from a charge. A 300-litre boot is much larger than the one you’d get in a standard Cooper hatchback, too.

Omoda E5

Omoda is one of several new Chinese brands to land in the UK over the last few years, and its E5 is shaping up to be one of its most exciting models. Inside, there’s an amazing dual 12.25-inch screen setup, while recent improvements mean that the latest E5 cars can manage up to 267 miles on a single charge.

You also get a handy 380 litres of boot storage to go alongside a 19-litre ‘frunk’ where you’ll be able to keep the charging cables.

Skoda Elroq

Skoda has already established a solid reputation for electric family-focused SUVs with the Enyaq, but if you’re after something a little smaller, then the Elroq could fit the bill. It’s essentially an electric alternative to the brand’s Karoq and gets a range of Skoda’s famous ‘Simply Clever’ features, including an umbrella in each front door and even an ice scraper and tyre tread depth gauge in the boot door.

Available with both single and dual motor setups, the Elroq is available in a variety of configurations including a go-faster vRS specification.
